Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to to the world of pop music is a British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on the 1st of February 1994, and is the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, along with three of his classmates, formed a music group called White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they won. Although he has always expressed an interest in the music world but despite his enthusiasm for it, he wished to pursue a career as a lawyer and an physiotherapist. He worked for a time for a short time in a bakeshop in the city he lived in to help economically at home. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. This meant that his band needed to be disbanded. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the band to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group began in 2010, and the five young people were funded by Simon Cowell. The five-piece band was sponsored by Simon Cowell and sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the top contenders in the contest. They were however in third place behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
